Pournami is the full moon day of the month. This day is also called as the Poornima, Puranmashi and Punnami. This day is considered very much auspicious by the Hindus. They observe special rituals and pujas at temples and homes. This day is also good for Shraddha rituals. Satyanarayan vrat, Poornima fast and Poornima river baths are the other major rituals performed on this day.
